just came back from my trip to oberlin and vassar. vassar seemed very bona fide, very scholarly, kind of like pomona without the chilled-out southern california atmosphere. that was my impression, at least. oberlin seemed like it was crammed full of really artsy, interesting people. when i first visited i didn't think much of it, but now that the memory of the visit has been settling in my mind i like Oberlin more and more. which is convenient, because they're the only school out of the three that wants to give me money. i still feel obligated to go through the motions of doing extra research, about academic programs and such, before i decide though.
