• meta | write 100 words telling us why you love your ship/character

i got into leverage sort of late, but i knew some of the popular ships were parker and eliot and hardison eliot. when i started watching (binge-watching really), i immediately understood why those two relationships were so enticing. all three of them have such great chemistry to together, it's not hard to see why they would be so great. they all bring out the best in each other, rely on each other so much, and care about each other in the best ways possible. parker, who didn't know what a family was, opened herself up to caring for people and being cared for. hardison, who could have anything money could by, learned to appreciate the people in his life even more deeply than before. and eliot, who on the outside could (and would) kill a person with a tic-tac and some dental floss, found out that there are people who would do anything for him in ways he never really understood. basically, baby birds that learned how to love and be loved and FOUND FAMILIES

season five was like it's own manifesto for this ship and it set up such a great possible ending for all of them. eliot, parker, and hardison obviously work so great together and in all the time they've been in the group, each of them has picked up different skills. i can see them being the best team, the most well-known underground thieving team. i can see parker becoming an even better mastermind than nate, someone who would definitely take in to account the ideas and thoughts of the rest of her team. hardison would become an better hacker and grifter, settling into his own and calming down a little. he'd go through about three more Lucilles. and eliot would still be eliot, surly and brusque, but with an obvious soft spot for the people he cares about. which would become a problem in future jobs because he wouldn't want either parker or hardison to get in trouble. there would be fights and yelling, but there would also be understanding and listening. everyone would get a say in not only their jobs, but their relationship. no one would be left out and everyone would have an equal part in the team.
