Tsunami!!!!
Ok, so on a whim I turn on the TV and wonder idly why I see my prefecture (island too) flashing on the tv...I think that the show I'm watching, the people are visiting Hokkaido, how nice. Then I change the channel, wait, hokkaido is on there too, even through the commercials...ok, something is up. I call a friend, what the hell is going on and why is Hokkaido flashing red and yellow?? Oh, they say, there is a tsunami coming....WHAT?????
There was an earthquake off the coast with a magnitude of 8.1 and there is a tsunami headed here in about 10 minutes. Around 1 meter here, and 2 meters more north to Hakodate....ok, even though I know that I'm not in danger really, I'm terrified. Big uncontrollable waves are my nightmare...they really scare the hell out of me and I actually have nightmares about them...oh well, I guess as long as I don't go near the water, I'll be ok...I will watch it on TV though.
