Ah yes... remember this. Jolts me like it did the first time I read it... this still, IMHO, is quite possibly one of the most powerful scene/emotion descriptions I've seen in fic.

More please? :)

Those are extremely kind words, thank you so much! The two paragraphs of Rose's experience were pretty much the first things I wrote for this whole series, so everything sort of developed out of that. (My fic-writing brain does not understand linear progression!)

The only problem with fic brains like ours is that eventually you realize that the reason you've left a hole in your narrative is because you have NO IDEA how to fill it. ("I have to connect Point A and Point C? Really? I'm sure I don't. People will figure it out... Sigh.")
