silly strange poem

Feb 12, 2007 11:31

I decided to make a poem. It doesn't yet have a name. Who knows, maybe one day I'll continue it =) I made a few changes (typos, some shorter wording, and formatted) so Missy Mae has the origional ^.^

There once was a man named Luffette,
but he was not one to sit on a tuffet,
nor did he enjoy music from Buffet,
and he never told anyone to stuff it.
Instead, he liked to wear a helmet;
taken from a guy named Fett,
but stayed away from the girl he did covet,
for she was marred and muchly so seemed to love it.

But her marrage was not one that was regular,
definately not something one would figure.
She wed herself to a floral fixture,
one she thought would be better than any picture.
The plant would never hurt, cheat, or miss her,
rather would stay faithful, wait patiently, and never bicker.
Although many townsfolk found her rather peculiar,
Mr. Luffette thought that somehow, though never before met, she seemed familiar.

One day though she discovered his collection of Nerf,
and could not stand that someone had more than her on her turf.
To this she definately exclaimed "murf!";
and to her the surprize the plant actually agreed with "arf!".
So to relax her mind, she decided to go take a surf.
And I definately just ran out of words that end in the sound "urf"

They met one day both having a mug of grog,
She declared for them to have a competition in a bog.
He gladly accepted after her femine-length monologue,
and the town found they seemed to be quite the isolog (coming from isologous).
The contest required each to find not toads but frogs,
and they set out amidst all the pollywog
until one hour limit did they emerge in a state of quite the sog.
Despite both's victiorious feelings of agog,
a tie did to great extent them befog (v. to confuse, mystify).
A toast they did have over unseasonal, Springly eggnog.
To the town did they dialog:
happily friended (or more?) did many catalog,
Thus bringing an end to the legnthy epilogue.

In other news, a friend declared that I actually proved, with all my crazy computer breaking mistakes, that Windows is a more stable OS than Linux. Mostly because when Windows is using something, you can't delete it or edit it (unless you're opening something with a program to edit it). Thus, all my system files are safe because Windows is using them =). LOL
