Letting go is hard.

In an effort to lighten my load and prepare to change countries twice in three months I decided to get rid of some clothing. This sadly meant getting rid of three pairs of jeans, two suits, more than half my socks, two pairs of shoes and my top hat. Though the top hat was lovingly passed on to its true soul mate, so thats not too bad.

I also got rid of 34 tshirts. This is a big deal. Tshirts are kinda my thing. I almost cried.

But the saddest of all of this was the retiring of the Two-Face suit. Its been with me a very long time. My classmates used to joke that we could mark our progress throughout the year based on my two-face makeup. The first being brought to us by my unfortunate first dip into using latex a halloween or two before moving to Canada. That was in my application's portfolio. The second was this past halloween when I applied near boiling hot liquid gelatin to my own face. The result was pretty decent, though it hurt. The third was done in class using wax and latex to build up the scarring on my face; and an airbrush was also employed. The fourth and final was a custom made and fit foam latex piece, made and painted by arguably one of the most talented in my class. The paintjob was stupendous and it will always be one of the highlights of my time in Canada. Each one had the same suit to finish the job.

But by the end of the year the suit was covered in all manner of paint, makeup and various bits of goo, not to mention the staggering amount of booze spilled on it. It collected its stains and wore them proudly but its time for its journey to end.

Despite the hair essentially being a part of me now I don't think I will dress as Two-Face again. It just wouldn't be the same without my friend The Suit.
