I'm going to try to NOT include anything knititng related in this post, but to be honest its looking doubtful that I'll actually manage that, lol.
Friday I had a visit to the othodentist to tighten the braces. As well as doing that, he put two more brackets on my very back teeth and this is now causing me issues. They rub, cut and are generally extremely annoying. Just as well I don't have to go back to the end of January, gives me plenty of time to get used to them before the annoyance starts all over again!
Saturday we out up our trees, yep, 2 of them... decorated the hall, ceilings and outside. I hate putting up trees but I hate taking them down even more! Then, after all that was done, Thomas and I headed out to the Deacon Blue/Simple Minds concert and my goodness what a show it was!!! Loved it, absolutely loved it! I did, however, get the impression that Jimmy Kerr thought he was playing some big huge stadium somewhere and not a full Odyssey arena, but that was just me. Deacon Blue came on promptly at 8pm, played until 8.50 and were excellent, full of craic and generally seemed to have agood time. After a 30 minute instrument change, Simple MInds came on and played from 8.20pm until 11.45!!! Now, if thats not value for money then I don't know what is!
I have to point out, that to my brothers dismay, I did in fact knit at the concert before they started and during the 30 minute break, and Siobhan's sock was looking GOOD!!!
Sunday, I knitted on a few things, and when we went out for dinner the sock came too. Its such a conversation starter, lol.
Monday morning the parents left for Washington and I had a day off. Siobhan baked, washed her dolls clothes, went out to play and made the dinner (as I supervised naturally) She's also making the dinner tonight, lol. Scouts last night was not so good. My mouth was killing me, they were being cheeky gits and kicked a football at my head when they were asked to put the ball down (I would like to say they missed but that would be lying)
Today, my car is away for a service to make sure its all ok before its MOT. The actual MOT isn't until February but I might be able to get it in early once they send me the reminder letter.
So there we have it, I have Siobhan's sock to finish, stuff to finish, stuff to start AS WELL as Siobhan to mind, the house to sort out and randomly the shower screen in the en suite.
