Change is in the air

There’s an interview tomorrow for the appointment of new Controllers. On paper it’s the simplest of the simple, so much so that Olga and I are going to do it. I’ve only done one interview before and that was with Rob sitting in and to be honest him sitting there scared the life out of me. With Olga sitting beside me, it should be ok. We’re both learning the interview thing and it won’t be as scary with someone who is also clueless sitting there, lol.

There’s been a fair bit of tension in the office this week, and its only Tuesday. There’s moves afoot. Rita is leaving this office and going only god knows where, there’s two girls coming from somewhere else and there’s office speculation that Rob will be moved to Referrals and the two girls come to CW2 (where I am) Charlie was on the phone with Rob earlier but we ALL know that Rob doesn’t want to go to Referrals, so we’ll see what happens on Monday when the two girls come down.

It’s going to be a bit of a mess for a while down here until everything is sorted out.

Going out tonight for Ryan’s birthday to Pizza Hut (hello 25% off voucher) and to the cinema and tomorrow is SnB day so between those two days there will be a lot of money spent. Not to mention Saturday of course, I’m heading out with Caroline and Ian for Caroline’s birthday and Tintin is going to the vet - he’s very stiff looking these days and his bark isn’t fully back yet.

I have a load of projects listed on Ravelry and had intended to stash-bust making all these things. The first things I go to cast on, I need to print the pattern and don’t have the right sized needles (shrug for Siobhan) and the second one I don’t have enough yarn for in the same colour (Irish Hiking Scarf and Cabled Hat for Thomas) so I end up on ebay getting 2.75mm 24 inch circular bamboo needles, 4.5mm straight bamboo needles and 500g of Sirdar Super Nova in  Thyme Tweed (88), which is green and white. Maybe now when it all arrives I’ll be able to start my Christmas knitting.

I think I’ve learnt my ‘only buy one ball in each colour’ lesson - nothing decent takes one ball, nothing!
