weekly round-up
Why hello good people of LJ land. It has been a few days since my last stab at updating and now I’m back again. So let’s see… what all’s gone on? My last update was Tuesday last week… can I remember everything?
Ok…Nothing springs to mind for Tuesday or Wednesday, no surprise there, lol. But Thursday…that was a good day/night. I actually had a good time at horse riding. I’d been contemplating for a while whether or not I actually liked it or not and if I should keep going or not. I’ll probably be like this til Thursday when I have a bad night or something and then contemplate throwing in the towel. She just shouts a lot!
Friday morning my car refused to start. I gave it another chance after the alternator went and decided that if anything went wrong in the next three months I was getting rid of the car. Well, when the fan belt went I thought ‘that’s easy fixed, I’ll just hang onto it’ but no. The fan belt squeaked and squealed from the time it was put in and in Friday morning it just refused to start. I had to take my mum’s car to work and use it all weekend. So it was decided that I needed a new car. A nice one that actually goes when you need it to.
Saturday morning I got up very early for a Saturday and cleared out my car, walked the dog and had my breakfast before 10am! Miracle I tell you! Dad and I went out looking for car and were back in the house again for 11! We only ended up at one place at the roundabout and they had this lovely Citroen Xsara with very little miles, it was a 2004 model and it was reasonably priced. So we bought it! It’s silver and lovely! We even had buns to celebrate, lol.
Saturday afternoon was Tintin’s haircut, I was gutting my room (again) and ended up running late because I had to pick Tintin up and bring him home before I went out to get Nicky for Las’ birthday. Probably to Las’s dismay I didn’t have a dress on. For two reasons: I don’t own such an item and I don’t have any money but purchase such an item… so I went as a bodyguard, lol, all in black.
Beckie’s was fun too, singstars for umpteen hours, lol.
Sunday was nothing in particular, Monday was the same.
Tuesday i.e. yesterday I met Joe in Subway for a natter, changed my insurance over to the new car and went home to find it sitting in the driveway! Davey, the mechanic bought the Muppet Mobile for his sister… who lives in Crumlin so if anything goes wrong (which it will) he knows where we live! Just need to get the car taxed now.
So… that’s my week.
