me again :)
Hello - how is everyone on this very cold and foggy day? I had to hunt out the Cookie Monster gloves this morning that match my little attempted fluffy scarf. I got my gloves in New York a few years ago, it was a good find and they were only $5! Bargain! And they’re lovely and cosy. And they match, all is well with the world, lol.
I’ve been trying to do this entry for about 4 hours now, and its not getting too far. I know what I want to say, I just can’t get round to saying it, as one does. Its nothing majorly important or anything, just more useless nonsense from me, like we need more!
I went for a dander round the town yesterday, I got a few wee things like small plastic storage boxes with handles for my small knitting stuff, and one for the sewing stuff. I think I’ll feel organised when everything has a place to go. I got some stuff in Primark for the mother i.e. a jumper for the father for Christmas and a vest top for her to wear for her Christmas dinner thing, and I got myself a wee jumper type top. Its blue and green stripes and was a fiver… I like it so I think I’m going to go back for another one, only in orange!
I met Nicky in Spinning Wheel but I got nothing. I thought the felt was dear as was the Christmas fabric and in boring colours, so I’m going to wait til after Christmas to make felty things like trying my hand at Christmas stockings and making a nice fleecy blanket with Siobhan’s name on it in bright colours. I have a few ideas but I don’t know how to go about them, lol. I’ll get there in the end. I always seem to.
Ruth… now that was a bit on the boring side. We went to the Apartment and she met people she used to work with, one of whom was a guy we were in BRA with. It was 2 hours later when we were walking out of there, me having heard about the guy she likes, how pot clams her waaaayyyyy doooowwwwnnnn and makes her very suggestible, and other random crap that I just nodded my way through. It was very noisy so I didn’t hear her properly anyway. I did hear her suggest a girls night out somewhere i.e. me, her, Nicky, Jolene and Caroline. I told her that Nicky was very busy with work and worked long hours, Jolene worked shifts and I didn’t know about Caroline. She wants it to happen in January, so be warned. I’ve planted the start of an excuse, its up to you to continue it through.
We ended up in Boots because she wanted new eye shadow, not my cup of hot chocolate but I told her that my last bus was at 9 so I vamoosed then. The town was surprisingly empty, maybe everyone has their shopping already done.
Now as for Ruth’s present - for Christmas she got me an ‘I <3 80’s Movies’ box set, of which I already have two. I know its not nice to get rid of presents, so here is what I propose. Since I already have Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller… does anyone want my copies? It’s a case of I either give them to someone I know, bin them, or flog them on ebay.
And now onto the fun part of the post. Remember I mentioned about Conor’s dog being cold and Conor wanting me to make him a jumper? Well here it is, kindly modelled by Gizmo!!!!
