Let’s see what’s been going on...
- A Streetcar Named Desire is still going on. Yesterday was Alex’s last day of stage managing until he comes back after July 4th. So I’ll be taking over until then.
- Mom’s birthday was last weekend. It went nicely. Nothing major happened - played some double and triple solitaire, made her dinner and dessert, and that’s about it there.
- I’ve started a recipe blog. Here’s the link:
http://recipesofmelissa.blogspot.com/ - The Student Play Reading Series went so, so great! We had nearly a full house - boy were we not expecting that at all. We would’ve been happy with 20 people! It was really exciting to hear my words being read and then to see people laughing at Alex’s play, which I directed.
- In rather good and big news: I got financial aid at FAU! It’ll readjust itself once I enroll and start classes, but I got money to take classes! Up for grabs still is Theatre History I, Visual Imagination, Design Studio - Costume, Topics in Lighting Design, Stage Management, Interpretation of Drama (but we might not need this one since we took Dramatic Literature at PBCC, but the course ID’s don’t match), and Drama on Stage and Screen. I’d be most interested in Theatre History I, Stage Management, and Drama on Stage and Screen. But, we also need to take either Music Appreciation or Elementary Spanish I at PBCC. Ultimately, we need to talk to an academic advisor and our theatre advisor. The former about why it appears that some of our general education credits don’t seem to meet some requirements, and the latter as to why our theatre class course ID’s don’t match FAU’s, and if they indeed will transfer.
