FOUND: Copic markers & books

While describing my dilemma to a certain online friend, I recalled that there was a vellum/bristol sketchbook I had bought to practice on with the markers. It, too, did not turn up in my search, further enforcing the notion that all these items were together somewhere. In a container, most likely. And that's most likely a box. I mentally scanned my house for boxes large enough to contain so much stuff, yet a box that I did not turn over in my search. There were some areas of the basement I did not pay much heed to, as I knew they had only old boxes. However, there was one box up in the kitchen that I had neglected. A Gevalia box that I assumed housed an unused coffee maker, one of their 'presents' for soliciting new members. But then I realized that it was no coffee maker, for it wasn't the right shape for the coffee maker boxes. OMG!

I jumped out of bed, made a beeline to the box, and opened it to find my art trove! There were the markers, the wallet, the two books, the sketchbook, another sketchbook, a mechanic doubler, a cheesy plastic paper trimmer, the packet of SP liners, and a small box stuffed with old pens.

As soon as I opened it, I remembered deeming it my Art Box, as I gathered stuff from the art corner of my livingroom before rearranging that space. The art box never made it back to its proper spot.

I remember being frequently drawn to the location where the Gevalia box was during my search (an A/V rack serving as a board-gaming shelf). So odd that I never checked that box, though I did move it (twice).

So, YAY ME! Now I can see if the markers are still in good shape, and consider whether I'll use them in this drawing project. My teacher convinced me to do mostly weighted line and washes.. but I think with the right touch, some accents with the markers could produce something pretty cool.

lost, art
