I've had a night of...immense impact. After posting that last entry, I went through and read every bit of this journal (comments included) from when I started it mid-Junior year at UCLA to the beginning of the summer session that year. Back then, I used to write damn-near *novels* almost every day. I cataloged dang near every little thing I did

God, as if you haven't put a damper on my LJ day today by making me get all instrospective-y and shit. Um, it's funny because I was actually going to say "Well, soon enough, you'll be saying 'Oh! I want one!'" Which then got me to think about how much our lives have changed since that first Vanilla Vodka shot. I mean, things are changing - not necessarily for good or bad, but changing they are because we're changing and issues are changing (and in many ways, staying exactly the same). And then it dawns on me that soon, our conversations over biscuits might consist of the "M" word and talking about "wanting one" with it being an actual possibility and whatnot as much as being about TV. I don't know... it's weird. I think it's funny and fitting that I feel like we are both on the cusp on whole new eras in our lives. The tragic (?) part about it is that, you know, it won't be as easy to call you on my piece of shit phone to talk about it. Because, you know, you're my best friend and have been somewhat of an anchor the past few years. That adjustment will be tough. I mean, we'll talk, but I'll be, like, half a globe away, so... whatever. Strange times, dude, strange times.
Why am I talking like I'm going to die or something?

But yeah, we've both always followed similar patterns, so it's only fitting we both move on to these mega-big new eras around the same time. As for the phone thing...well, what of just using a mic on AIM/YIM or something? I'm sure we can make something work (and it'd still be better than your POS phone is here). I'm glad I've been able to help over the last number of years (as you have for me) and, personally, I don't intend on not having the couch in front of the TV with biscuits on hand at all times stopping anything. 'Cause that's so going to keep happening later, one way or the other. :p Definitely strange times.
And it's fun to talk like we're going to die, 'cause melodramaticness rules. Duh.
Wow, this was like it's own entry!
