Nope, still hate it
I was hoping that this year would be different and that I could get in the spirit (or, at the least, block the day out from my mind), but alas. Nope, i'm still stuck here reflecting on how crappy this day always is for me. It's sad too 'cause i'm not one of those people who blame the greeting card companies and try to justify my bitterness with the idea that "every day should be special." 'Cause the thing is, I know that if I had someone in my life, i'd go all out today and I would love this day along with all of the other holidays that I love. Here we are though, just like every New Years...I think "next year," get a bit depressed, wallow for a brief moment in bitter jadedness...and move on. So here's my obligatory "fuck it" post. Fuck it all.
