been listening to alot of beach boys lately. i read up on brian wilson, i had no idea that guy was so fucked up for a good part of his life and the lyrics for the barenaked ladies song of the same name were suddenly less weird. good vibrations is an amazing song, i heard it performed by the london philharmonic orchestra at the royal albert hall at a night of orchestral rock. i would like to make a song like this sometime, definitely.
mandarin course starts soon. that translates to three hours a day, 4 days a week of classroom time for one of the hardest languages ever. i want to get an A in this course, so who knows how many hours of homework that's going to involve. i hope i still have time to practice guitar. the audition's in a month...it's getting a little scary. songs aren't even close to finished.
went surfing a couple days ago and it was amazing, as soon as i find a ride and money for some equipment, i'm there for the long run. it's such a rush, and at the same time it's also very calming and therapeutic, nothing but you, the waves and a neverending ocean. amazing stuff. what dreams are made of. the surf scene in nova scotia is getting alot bigger nowadays. quiksilver now sponsors surf camps in lawrencetown. wtf. hawaii, california...halifornia?
