I personally hate tribal, but that's not why I'm saying this... to me, the tribal kinda looks silly next to the butterfly. maybe you should add some flowers that have tribaly stems so it doesn't look so funny? It's an odd match together is all I'm saying. and the tribal is also way too big--takes away from the booterfly. the middle part looks like a ram to me. is that just me? am i on crack?
No I meant am I on crack cuz I see a Ram (the amminall) in the tribal design.
A bird of paradise would go real nice with that booterfly. Anything tropical really. But if you really want tribal, have the stem of your flower (if you used that idea) be sorta tribaly. does that make sense yet?
*nods* I think some vines with leaves would be good... Ive seen them made in a "tribal" type design with ferries and butterflies before and always thought it looked good.
hwoever, I wouldnt do much color with it. Maybe a dark green, or green leaves on a black vine... but I dont think I would do vibrant colors next to the butterfly - it would detract from it.
Vibrant colors would only detract from the butterfly if the artist didn't know what s/he was doing. Lots of vibrant greens, yellows, oranges and a light purple somewhere would actually pull all the blue out. But the idea for dark greens on a black vine is actually kinda cool.
