Oh ick
Well, the good news I suppose is that I finally put my desktop (iMac) together again, and I am using it for the first time in ages to connect to the internet.
The bad news is that the thing that motivated me to do so was that my iBook seems to have gotten fried by something (quillon thinks there might have been a power surge yesterday) and now the monitor is, for all intents and purposes, FUBAR. So now I have to dig out all my registration and warranty crap and take it in to get it fixed.
I am not a happy camper.
I am relieved that I got a USB floppy drive, and that I had the sense when the iBook started acting funny to back up all my writing stuff on it. So I can still work on my writing projects. I am just really pissed off that I am going to have to find a lot of paperwork that I never thought I would have to use. I also have to think about whether or not to upgrade my iMac to OS X. I think I might, since that is now what I am used to.
Decisions, decisions.
In any case, I am going to be busy today.
oh yeah, and as if that's not enough... I slept fitfully at best last night, because I have Yet Another Toothache
