(no subject)
the past two days have been spent solidly with lauren. aww, i'm sad i won't be able to hang out everyday in just a few days. the summer definately flew on by this year. i think next year i'm gonna shoot for some type of internship in a big city and maybe sneak in a few weeks of travel- perhaps back to south africa? that'd be so sick. on monday we hit up king of prussia and did a little back to school shoppin', it was a pretty good day if you measure it by money spent on awesome stuff for sure.
all day today we were in new york city!! it was pretty mild weather today, which was really nice for walking around. we found this bar that lauren's little consumating prom is going to be at, it's really cute. but then we found out that the moma is closed on tuesdays! motherfucker. we went to the folk art museum instead though which was interesting enough. i really want to see the moma though. later we met up with elmer and his friend jimmy, who goes to brown and is kinda quirky and totally sweet. we walked around a bunch o places, and he took us to the super hip part of brooklyn, williamsburg. one hundred million times better than that of virginia. it was filled with cute clothing, record, and book stores, and if you walk all the way to the end of this one street theres a great view of the city you can sit there and stare at while the sun sets. which is exactly what we did before we went to wo hop! the best chinese restaurant in nyc.
once again, wo hop came through for us and we sipped sweet tsingtao beers while eating $4 plates of delicious delicious food. once we were nice and insanely full, we bought ourselves sweet wo hop tshirts and walked round the city singing and laughing at each other and what not. we kept yelling about how elmer was turning 22 even though he's only turning 20. we met up with elmer's two other friends later who were jealous that they were not as drunk as we already were. we walked around with them for some time then elmer showed us back to penn station and we peaced out.
