So I'm insane... and going to a kick ass concert!
So Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are playing Gainesville this Thursday. I've seen him 3 time in the past 5 years so I didn't really mind not going. And then all these Rumours start swirling around how this is the 30th anniversary of his first album, his last tour, the first show in his home town in 13 years, and a possible guest appearance by a certain Rock and Roll goddess, my idol, Stevie Nicks. And then it came to my attention that Jake, who has every Tom Petty song known to man on his IPOD, has never seen them live.
So I went on ebay. Bought shitty seats, had them overnighted to my house, and created a super awesome road trip (that includes Bourbon Chicken for Jake) up to Gainsville.
Regardless of the seats, regardless of if Stevie is there, regardless if he plays Yer So Bad so Jake can fall out of his seat laughing, I am doing something different than the ordinary mundane life that I live. I am taking time out of my insanely busy life to have fun!!!!!!!
