Hell-O
I haven't posted on LJ since August of 2007.
There are a lot of things you can do in 3 years.
For instance:
Attend Grad school.
Fall in love.
Work two jobs while attending Grad school.
Almost flunk out of Grad school. (see above)
Quit two paying jobs to take an unpaid internship.
Graduate from Grad school.
Get married.
Console your parents when your sister gets engaged a few weeks later, and they realize they have to go through the insanity of wedding planning again.
Learn that no one is hiring.
Work crappy seasonal retail. Again. (see above)
Get laid off from retail.
Give thanks for getting laid off from retail.
Attempt to help plan your sister's wedding.
Get hired for a job that has nothing to do with anything you've ever studied.
It is my hope that my friends will forgive me for losing touch when they see this list of what I've been up to in the last 3 years. But honestly, after writing it out and seeing how my life has changed, I feel awful for leaving so many people out of it.
I recently found out that two people who were important to me passed away. And no one thought to tell me about it. Because even though one of these people was related to me, and the other lived and died in Tucson where I now live...I'm out of sight, out of mind, and out of touch. And that is something I've grown weary of regretting.
I'll be 25 in a couple weeks. So I'm making a birthday resolution. The people I love should know that they are loved, in no uncertain terms. Because we never know how much time we have left.
Thanks for being there for me by reading this. Please drop me a line to let me know how you're doing, even if we have talked recently.
