Friendster works in the oddest ways...

Well, after hearing about Meesh's encounters finding old friends on Friendster, I was still skeptical about the forum. I only have just the few friends on it that I currently know. But yesterday I was searching the interests of sociology, and I actually found a friend from my past. Natasha was a friend of mine from college. When I was a freshman and she was a senior at Baylor, we both knew each other during our days being involved with the Hispanic Student Association, including going to a party where gunfire broke out and we had to sneak out of the house crawling on the floor. Anyway, I was still undecided in my major and she was a major influence in deciding on sociology as a major. She had such a passion for it and encouraged me to at least take an intro class. That intro class had one of my favorite professors, and I was completely hooked into the world of sociological study. She eventually finished her PhD studies at UCLA and ten years later we have become reacquainted through Friendster. She has a family and is looking for a sociology program to join. So you just don't know who is out there in Friendster land.
