I met up with Ariri-nee to talk about our
blind_go collab fic, and all I will be saying right now is it's insane. It's absolutely insane and I adore it and I will just go read up and research on items and countries again. Oh why do these bunnies happen to me? She also gave me permission to continue with the alternative idea I will be doing for my single author fic, so I'm doubling up my research load for the *bleep*.
The good thing about this is I've found my notebook containing the notes I had for the original round one story that I discontinued. I've actually gone back to read the random files I've never touched in months, and came up with a few random quotations I don't rightly recall writing:
"He was a practical man. He never believed in sensational stories about ghosts and hauntings. Let Ashiwara and the rest watch exorcism shows and ogle about mysteries that fall apart in the face of cold logic. His go, like his ideas, were built on solid reality - what did not exist cannot be a factor in his life.
The mystery of Sai and how he related to Shindou Hikaru was a fascinating conundrum just beyond his grasp, but even then he believed that the boy knew the man personally, and had served as a conduit to set that game with his sensei. The idea of Shindou being Sai was ridiculous - there was just no way a boy with that level of skill to play such brilliant go."
Which I can use for the OgataxSai idea someone wants from me. And there's even HikaGo porn but let's pretend I didn't find that again.

Something on my flist will help me plot that collaboration fic.

So far work has been so-so. I'm missing metrics, because of really long calls. And by long calls I mean the two-hour "why aren't we resolving the issue is it your computer or you that's the problem, tech?" sort of issue not the, "I hate your fucking company and you have to appease me else I will make unreasonable demands" call. I've been trying to experience delivering an escalated call to my TL and OIC, and somehow I haven't found the perfect opportunity yet. I must be the only one in the team who hasn't experienced one. Is it because I stick with the call until I can resolve the issue? Or maybe I don't give them time to call the supervisor? I don't know. I had a valid call for escalation the other week, but my TL told me I could handle that in place, so that's what I did. >_<; That was a painful call, but it was the first time I successfully set up a client's wireless network, so yay me. I avoid wireless problems like the plague. Give me a broken computer or a busted copy of the operating system any day than wireless.
