Whenever I hear this song, I think of An TeSon. Which is strange, since I've no idea what the lyrics mean. Anyway, it's loads better than the Eurythmics' Here comes the rain again, during that time when An TeSon would stand under the drizzle.

I must be blind/I want to get back to that light )
IT'S A SAD STORY
On an unforgettable day,
full of unusually bright sunshine,
a beautiful day that I've always dreamed of,
unwanted tears come to find me.
The cold words that linger on your lips
close off all the light.
Even at the brush of a breeze, I choke up and cry
CAUSE YOU'RE BREAKIN' MY HEART
IT'S A SAD STORY
On a beautiful day that always seemed like a dream
tears come to find me
Exhausted by this sharp separation, I choke up and cry
CAUSE YOU'RE BREAKIN' MY HEART
I bet Yeongha would only listen to old-school K-pop and be an insufferable snob about it. Or maybe Clazziquai. And Suyeong seems like one of those types that only listens to American music, but if he listened to domestic bands, I think he might like some of the newer alt-rock Transfixion or Alin.
I can really imagine An Taeseon having a fondness for "trot"/ppongjjak (which is very much like Japanese enka), although I think I'm extrapolating that purely from your idea that he watches dramas. ^_^
(Hey, this sort of speculation is a lot of fun. I wonder what Touya would listen to. XD)

I can see YeongHa listen to Clazziquai, but I'm biased because I'm listening to that too. Maybe he's listening to K-pop because of his secret wish to be a K-Pop Idol? :D I've always placed SuYeong to be an American rock/English Manchester band listener, while he tries to piece the lyrics together and find out what they mean. He seems technical that way. :P I've never listened to Tansfixion or Alin before - do they fall in the same category as Trax? *clueless*
(Yes, Taeseon is absolutely addicted to ppongjjak - so that's what it's called! *replaces enka in the story* - but sshhhh, don't tell anyone. :D)
Touya doesn't know what to listen to, he might grab the first few CDs he finds in the record shop. I hope he doesn't get bubblegum J-pop, he might turn his back to music forever. :D

Transfixion and Alin are both indie alt-rock bands and a bit on the obscure side. They seem more influenced by Western rock than J-rock, which is why I think Suyeong might like them. ^_^ I'll try to upload samples later...i.e. once this fic is done. >_>;;
Let's hope then that Shindou's the one to guide Touya's forays into contemporary music. XD

(SES! Now you're reminding me of the good old days....)
SuYeong would like indi music, but not just since they're indie. I think he enjoys the smaller fanbase, how everyone knows everything happening to the scene - a bit like the HikaGo fandom, say. And samples would be great! An Teson is a big part of the fic, but SuYeong is a bigger, and more important, part. :D
:D Shindou will guide Touya to Bump of Chicken, the Pillows, and Beat Crusaders. I don't see him listening to Visual Kei - much. At least Touya won't end up liking enka. XD

hahhaa, not if it is the music his parents listen to...and well...XD

(I am now officially distracted from my blind_go entry. Enka-listening Touya!)

I'm inclined to think that Touya would like jazz and probably some of the jpop stuff out there. Not the utterly bubblegum type of pop, but more on the Hirai Ken, Suga Shikao variety. And I see him as being a huge Spitz fan. XD

I stand by my belief that Touya will listen to bubblegum J-pop, if only to show he can be interested in something mainstream. I can only hope he'll escape the phase quickly, because imagine what the former insei will say about his taste. :D
