My love/hate relationship with Pratt continues. Today I hate Pratt...
Jessica, my suite mate, came home yesterday with two of Pratt's old yearbooks. She goes, to Jodie and me, "Did you guys know we've already paid for these and that you can pick them up in the Student Activities Office??" The three of us had no idea!
It all started when Jessica made a comment to someone about never having seen a Pratt yearbook (she's a junior, btw, and she's never seen one). The person told her that she could go pick it up in the SAO. She went there, got the yearbooks from the past two years, and asked if she could pick one up for her friend. The people were like, "Sure! Take as many as you want!" WHAT? Why don't they advertise this?? Instead, they end up keeping piles and piles of old yearbooks in their office! IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!
So today, Jodie and I went to pick up our yearbooks, and the woman was like, "Whoa, word has certainly gotten out." I guess a lot of people have been dropping by to pick them up. Well, yeah, what the hell do you expect? People want their yearbooks, ESPECIALLY if they've already been paid for! Isn't the Office concerned when no one drops by at the end of the year?? Hmmm, maybe it's because NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT!
It's pure laziness and apathy on the part of Student Activities, because these things are already bought and paid for, they're taking up space in the office, and it takes about 45 minutes to put up fliers on campus advertising it. Actually, just put up fliers by the cafeteria. That takes about five minutes. Or how about ONE flier somewhere. ANYTHING!
F-ing unbelievable.
