Things went so well at rehearsal today. I'm feeling so much more confident now that we have a plan for the set. We also had a complete run through of the show, and our energy was much higher than yesterday. It's coming together so nicely! I don't want to jinx anything but I'm really excited about it right now ( Read more... )

Hey!

The writing program is ok. Of course, I don't have anything to compare it to because it's the only writing program I've ever been in, but I must admit that I was expecting more from it.

I'm having an awesome time, though! College would be so much fun if it weren't for the classes, lol. I especially like how historic-looking Pratt is. Most of the buildings were built in the 1800s, so the campus is really cool like that. There's also a lot of...how shall I put this?...interesting art work around campus. A lot of the art is fun to laugh at.

The people are really nice and welcoming at Pratt. I've been so lucky to meet so many awesome people. My suggestion, as cliche as it is, is to get involved. There are really cool clubs on campus, I wish I could join more of them!

Don't worry at all about sorority or frat life. Pratt is the anti-frat. I think there's only one or two of them. There are only a couple of sports teams. I like it that way. It's very art-focused and people roll their eyes at jocks.

This winter was so incredibly bitter cold. I come from Colorado, and it was never this cold back home. I really hope that this was an unusual winter and that next year will be more bearable. Luckily the campus is small, so you don't have to be in the cold for too long. Just run with your head down to class, lol. That's how I got through the winter.

Pratt can be so frustrating but it definitely has its redeeming qualities. I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your stay!
