Something to celebrate!
Well, today is Valentine's Day, of course, and that's always fun to celebrate (and tomorrow means lots and lots of cheap candy at Safeway), but there's something else, too. A couple weeks ago, I checked Rookie Jet's user info and saw that the number of people watching this comm had risen to 102. One Hundred and fucking Two. That's one hundred watchers who aren't me and Youko, and that's more than I ever expected for this quiet little artblog. Not only that, but checking the info today, there are now 106 watchers.
In short, I'm just amazed and delighted tha there are that many people who enjoy our art, and who keep coming back for more. Thank you, all of you. I'm very, very touched and grateful.
In honor of breaking 100 watchers, I drew a little (worksafe) picture in celebration, mostly based on some of the images that were floating around my head at the time. As such, this picture might be a little confusing to most of you; I think only a handfull of you will get all the references in here, and I'm sorry about that. But truly, thank you. Love you all.
All you really need to know is that the guy on the right (Hisagi from Bleach) normally has a 69 (I kid you not) tattooed on his cheek; the guy in the middle (Akon, also from Bleach) is into body modification, and the guy on the right (Ginko from Mushishi) has already had to deal once with a little boy with horns on his forehead. And then of course, there's me and Youko spazzing in the background.
Also, for any that may want it, I also have uploaded the original "Rookie Jet", the Pillows song that started it all. If you're in the mood for happy silly Jrock, or just wanna know what's up with the car in our layout, feel free to download; if it runs out, let me know and I'll reupload it.
