Return to the world of Gaeus Firma in a new tale set over one thousand years after the events of Of Light and Darkness: Madness of the False God.
Long ago, technology and magic reached such a zenith that the lines between the possible and impossible were left blurred. Miracles were possible with mere tonics and potions, and complex tasks were handled by automatons. The races of Gaeus Firma lived in nigh-perfect harmony until a renegade evil corrupted the hearts and souls of the people of the world.
Factions and organizations built under the madness of false gods were created to plague and trouble the people with ideologies of hatred.
Wars began and ended. Countries were founded and destroyed. Millions of innocents had lost their lives in the heat of battle against various threats.
Yet there were great heroes who fought for the sake of the world.
The stories of the old heroes live on to this day.
So much has happened in the world after the Era of Heroes ended, but...
Long ago, before there was technology or magic, the primeval forces of what are considered good and evil took shape. The powers of malevolence grew to a point that they overtook the powers of benevolence and held high their grip over Gaeus Firma.
The races of Gaeus Firma were given no natural inclination towards good or evil and, thus, were the masters of their own destiny.
The world has changed a lot since then.
The primeval forces of evil and chaos continue to take their toll on the world, and the primeval forces of good and order are nowhere to be found. Are they content to watch this happen to our world?
I had a vision of the future.
There are no heroes like history speaks of.
So, what will happen now?
I want to know if this world is worth saving. I want to know if the world can really be saved if the battle never truly ends...
