Paris!

So I'm in Paris! It's interesting, but I am so nervous it isn't even funny. And now even more so after the events of this evening. Pretty much everyone decided to pre-drink in the hotel before going out, which has to be the biggest no-no we've been given. "Don't party at the hotel." "Don't drink in your rooms." "Don't party in the hotel!" And that's pretty much what everyone did. I am now terrified that our trip is going to be in jepordy because of the people that did this, there were only 5 of us not drinking and that didn't go out. I'm so frustrated. And being in a big city is scaring the shit out of me like normal, not to metion a big forgien city in a country that I can only say about 4 things in the language. We had a crash course in French today for an hour and a half, I couldn't even remember how to say "I would like" I remembered that it started with je and had a v in the second part. Serriously uncool.
We're going to try and go to the Louvre tomorrow, and maybe the Effile Tower or the Arc'de Triumph, but we'll see what actually goes down. I had to pay a ton of money to get this wireless internet access, but I think it's going to be worth it for my peace of mind. I really would like to not have a break down while I'm here, and this will definetly help. Hopefully all this need to party will stop soon. We have a ton of class work we have to do outside of class time while we're here because we are done the last day of the program and don't have to do anything once we get back. I don't know, maybe I came on study abroad for a different reason than the rest of these people. I'm here to study, learn, and experince some of the French culture. I don't think getting wasted like I can do in East Lansing and then going to a night club is really how the French do it. Maybe that's just me though.
Alright, it's 1 am here so I should probably hop in the shower fast then hit the hay. If you want a letter or a post card let me know. Letters might be long and a lot of me blowing off steam, but I've got to think it would at least be something interesting to read. I could tell you about the man at the sandwich shop tonight and his views on our president. Interesting spin if you ask me.
Alright, au revior
