I have spent too much time out in the sun lately, Swiming at Alyssa's over Memorial Day, Walking around campus yesterday taking pictures, and the Tiger's game with Chris and his dad and grandpa today. This means that I am now, once again very sunburned. And I wore sunscreen today too, but appartenly it didn't last very long, or it was just too sunny, who knows. Anywho, other than that I've been working on some graduation gifts and birthday gifts as well as getting all the stuff I need to sew myself some skirts, hopefully they turn out cute, I'll probably get started on those later in the week.
I will be coming to Midland on Saturday and staying until Sunday so I can go to Richard and Patrick's graduation parties. So if you want to hang out, let me know, there's a ton of movies I want to go see ;-) ;-)
Sigh, I keep listening to this song off the newest Rascal Flatts CD called Ellsworth, it makes me wonder if perhaps I was born in the wrong decade. It's about "grandma" and how she doesn't remember anything that happens today, but she can tell you about Ellsworth, Kansas, 1948. It's so sweet, what happened to the diner's where you could share a coke with two straw's? and handwritten letters? and front porch goodbyes for forever instead of a quick kiss goodbye in the car? and guys that can't stop talking about how great a girl they've got? What happened to those days? I guess sometimes I just hate the high paced, modern world we live in. I so don't think I would mind going back to wearing skirts and drive-in movies and soda jerks, no I really don't think I'd mind much at all. Sometimes I wonder if we really have it better off now than it was then. Alright I should stop now before I go on all night. Later ya'll.
