Originally uploaded by dasrooflessIt was a good 'un. Got my yard edged, weedeated, mowed & blowed on Friday afternoon. Had a nice morning rain on Saturday, then went downtown to Disco (Discovery) Green Saturday afternoon and hung out for an hour before the last Aeros home game [video of final seconds]. Had a chance to hear Henry Chow over at the locals area and then Boo Williams (featured video) and then Tortured Soul.
It was nice being able to see a big mix of people who otherwise wouldn't have an opportunity to be exposed to dance music, specifically house & techno.
Luis commented on Saturday after I saw & said hello to about 10 different random people "How do you know all of these people?" I just laughed and said "Man... this is my music, and these are my people!".
Sunday I got Cynthia's yard knocked-out , had some sloppy chilly dogs, and then went to visit a good friend of mine who is in ICU right now. He was asleep when I got there, and after speaking to the nurses and learning what a difficult time he'd been having sleeping, I decided not to wake him. I sat there for 30 minutes (max ICU visiting time) while he slept. Ended up leaving him a note.
(a busy) 3-day work week ahead. So stoked for this upcoming weekend. Good times.
