I just moved down here at the w/e! Into a house with 4 random girls who are mainly 3rd years and all know eachother etc, so times are a tad odd!
Canterbury is 'nice', just nice. It's quiet and seems almost safe to walk the streets at night (might make an extra few much needed £ hehe.) The campus itself is a lot different to what I was used to at Leicester. Here, everyone belongs to a college, mine is Keynes. Dunno why or what it means to be a member, but there ya go!
My house is a good 30mins walk to campus, which when the weather's alright wouldn't be so bad were it not for the fact the campus itself is situated right at the top of a big feck off hill!!
The course hasn't started yet. We have had like a departmental 'welcome' but that was literally a bit mental as it was an open invite for u/gs too so they took the limelight buzzing with enthusiasm, oh how they will learn! Get to meet up with just my course tutors and coursemates on Fri, all 20 of them, so that should be a little more cosy!!
Anything else?! Ask away! Obviously I will know more in a few weeks, but ask away and I will inform you when I get the answer!
