took 1 hr 45 min to drive the 15 miles to work this morning... fortunately i left @ 645. though it took 10 minutes just to get out of my parking lot... snow was up to the bottom of my little car... sigh. anyway at least i was only a half hour late. especially since the other phone person got stuck at home cause his kids school closed... though the only other phone person is really sick and had to go home... so yay for me being all alone on phones... on an hour and 15 minutes of sleep. :) ok so it's not all bad cause i'm kinda loopy and therefore don't mind as much as I normally would... that and most places are closed today, so phones have been mostly quiet. that and i'm still in a really good mood from last night... met geillis @ dubs to drop off a car and then headed to blarney's... met up with the Tim's crew... then headed to the studio... hung out for a bit listened to the show be recorded (and johnny waste half the show on just the calendar for St. Pat's) then headed back to dubs for the last set. had fun poking the band people (Tim's and Bhoys)... then geillis and i had a little adventure searching for food. (we originally wanted uptown diner... got there and they were closed... evil twist of fate considering the large " open 24 hrs" sign in the window... so we decided hard times was good... and open till 4. so we dropped off loyalsherpa cause he was anti hard times... got to hard times @ 245 and were told that the were closing. grrr... so at this point it was no longer about the fact that we were hungry... we had to beat whatever forces were telling us to go home... so we decided on perkins... got there @ 3. third times the charm. :) so had nummy perkins. left @ about 4... about 2 inches of snow had fallen. (had only been light flurries when we were driving around looking for food) so had lots of fun driving home. my favorite part was my car deciding it wanted to do a 180 on 94... and i was only going like 30 in the right lane... suddenly found myself in the far left lane. facing whence i came. got myself turned around and continued on my way... had 2 very happy kitties greet me when i got home... i think they knew i wasn't using the best of my judgment skills... anyway lesson to be learned is that when you are thwarted over and over... it may be a warning not to be doing what you are doing... ah never mind, that's no fun, and doesn't make for good adventures. :D
