All I can say is what memories....
I went and visited with my Aunt in Lake Charles yesterday, and when I got to her house she had a strange dusty box sitting on her kitchen table. I asked her what it was and when she pulled off the lid before my eyes sat an Atari 2600. She lifted the Atari and there were about 30 games sitting below it. The memories starting rolling through my mind.
I remembered fighting with my older brothers over who's turn it was. Spending many nights playing the classics like Pac-Man, Mrs Pac-Man, Pitfall, Berserk, Pong, Smurfs, I could list games forever. True compared to now adays technology the Atari is very weak, but it was the first and will always be a classic.
I asked her what were her plans for it, and she said she wasn't sure for now but most likely to sell it. I asked her if it still worked and she said yes and that she still had all of the original components for and starting pulling games and a steering wheel and power supply from al sorts of places. I asked her how much she wanted for it, and she looked at me like I was nuts...
"Why would you want this old thing its nothing compared to the stuff they have out nowadays." She replied.
"Because its an Atari 2600 Nothing compares" I rebutted
To make a long story short she gave it to me. How kewl....
