What is it about the people you only see once or twice a year that makes then so much more fun than your usual bunch? I have not smiled so much on a night out in a long time. Of course, it could have been that I was at an O.A.R. show, which always promises a good time. It really is nice to hear such rich, well-thought out, complex, positive music. And Mark Roberge isn't bad to look at either. I do have a little thing for Benj, the bassist, even though he's about 4 feet tall. Ran into him at the bar last night. He's so...uh...intense? Well, that's not quite the right word, but I can't find a word in my head that really fits. Man, can that boy play bass. I really love that band 'cause they are such music nerds. Plus, I had fun with the crowd I was with. We ate too much, then drank too much, then listened to kickass music. Recipe for a great night. And then Belinda's brother thought I was 21, which, of course, made my night. He'd also had 3 pitchers of beer, so that could have something to do with it, but I choose to believe I am just so youthful in spirit it makes me look younger.
I feel like I'm going to barf since I just ate my second California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizza of the week. Why can't I learn to eat real food? Blargh. I feel icky now. Of course, it could be that sour Starburst pack left over from Halloween that followed tonight's pizza that did me in. I think I will only eat salad and fruit until I head out on my road trip where I know there will be significant amounts of Taco Bell involved. Oh, crap. It's Thanksgiving. Well, there goes that plan.
