So tonight I'm psyched. I had my first solo recording session doing VO for a surf movie. Of all things, of course it had to be a surf movie. It was SO sick. It was the Director/ Produce, his wife, and the VO talent. They were awesome. So layed back. It was about 2-3 hour session. I guess they filmed all over hawaii and fiji. They had some INSANE footage from cloudbreak. It was so rough they had to be airlifted in. So the people at the session were really cool. I told them I was a first year gremmy and so we talked about learning how to surf and what they remember. The talent didn't surf but the director and his wife had been surfing for 15 years. So I guess he said he'd bring me copies of his earlier films tomorrow when they came back to do the final online editing. So all in all it was a success. It kicked so much ass. I was nervous as hell at first but by the end I wanted the session to keep going and going.

So work's been good. The only downside to having the session tonight was I missed guys night out at don cuco's. Steve was buying so I could have margarita-ed the night away. But oh well. there's always next week. I'm poor, my apartment's a mess, I have 7 unpaid parking tickets, I still need to get my license reinstated... but I'm happy as hell. AND SHANE'S COMING THIS WEEKEND SO IT'S NON STOP SURFING. The water is 65 degrees and I have no wetsuit, but I will go and I will get hypothermia. It'll fucking rock!
