California Dreamin
So I had this crazy ass dream last night. I dreamed(? dreamed? I thought it was dreamt but my autocorrect corrected me... hmm....) Anyway, I had a dream that it was my friend Ruben's birthday and we all went over to his house to party but when I got there, I noticed he was now dating Pauline. At first I was just confused but then when I saw that Robby was there all bummed out I got a little mad thinking that it was fucked up of her to do that to him and what not and kind of gay of Ruben to invite us knowing she would be there. So my dream progressed to a casino and we were all there and she made several attempts to talk to me but I skillfully avoided her throughout the night. Then later when I got home I received a call from a number I didn't recognize so I answered it like I always do. (I always answer calls when I don't know who it is) So anyway nobody was on the other line but I heard a soft sobbing of sorts. Somehow I knew it was her and I asked if she was okay but she wouldn't respond. I told her that I could hear her and that she should just talk to me cause that's why she was calling. Eventually I hung up out of frustration but she called back and again she was just crying. I told her that I would meet her somewhere if she wanted to see me but again she wouldn't respond. So finally I hung up and she didn't call back. Later on I got a call from my mom saying that Pauline called her and asked her to come over to where she was but that she was crying uncontrollably and so my mom wanted me to go with her. When we got there she was fucking dead! She jumped off a building or something because she was just laying in the street dead. The weird part was as soon as I saw this I didn't get sad or shocked or any of the emotions one might feel when coming across someone you were close to dead. Immediately I was just really annoyed that I was dreaming this and I just wanted to wake myself up and eventually I did. Everytime I went back to sleep however, it was just a continuation of that same dream so I kept waking up and I didn't sleep well for the rest of the morning.
So what was crazy for me was when I finally got up I was looking at my call log and at 11 something last night I noticed I got a call from a number I didn't recognize and I answered and talked to this person for like 7 minutes so I was like, "OH FUCK! No way does that have anything to do with my dream". So I tried figuring out who it would be and I couldn't come up with anything. I even rationalized it by saying that I was still up when that call came in, but I couldn't remember talking to anyone. So I was kind of worried until Jamie came over to work on his car today and he told me that it was him that called from his work phone last night.
