My writing tourette - otherwise known as vomiting words on screen - struck again, and I wrote, get this, nearly 11,000 words of gen. WTF, Mai? No love, no love at all. Who the hell will read this? Well, Alex will have to, in any case, because this travesty is ALL HER FAULT. Yes, that's right. I cannot be blamed, see, for I am wrong in the head ( Read more... )

No, no, don't humor me. It is bad for my ego down, ego, down. I know this isn't exactly your idea of Mikoto, and if anything, she's just a greater extension of all my female characters, battling middleclass discontent and their hopelessly breaking hearts. I am so anti-feminist, yo! D:

Don't hate me for humanizing Fugaku. I'm partial to father figures. Anyway, if you think the dearth of Mikoto-fic is bad, try searching Fugaku on ff.net. Augh. Pain >_<

But. I read Uchihacest for you, so you have to sit through my masterpiece of half-assedness. Hope this has provided more fuel for the Mikoto revolution :D

I can't believe you haven't brought up the totally obvious shipping of ShisuiMikoto D: Now that's Uchihacest for future hell inmates.

WE NEED A MIKOTO COMMUNITY!

No, really, poetry comm be damned, THIS is a project worthy of our love. We must propagate the love while it's still burning strong. Nevermind that you and I might be the only contributers I did not say that, oh no, I have not promised to contribute at all

I can commission meh some fanarts :3

I've always said she doesn't get nearly enough love. I am so so so so happy to find this. Not only does this give her massive love, but you also made Fugaku seem more... I don't know. Not-so-cold? It's very hard to explain.

The birth by the river, and the fallen house, and Itachi's interrogation.. I really loved those parts the most, but the whole thing is absolutely amazing.

Definitely adding this to memory and recommending it to people. ♥♥♥♥♥

I wanted to put up a post-fic, In Defense Of Fugaku or something like that, but the fatigue set in. Yeah, I'm inclined to believe that, judging from Sasuke's shining example, all the Uchiha men are assholes of circumstances. Well, with the exception of Itachi, but that's only 'cause he's special like that ♥

Thank you for reading! ^^

Another truly beautiful written piece by you. I love your choice of words - both stimulating and thought-probing, a veritable sea of imagery and symbolism. And heart-ache. And characterization. And - and... the list goes on and on. I just loved how you humanized Fugaku, I had always wondered myself, what exactly his characterization should be, and I wholly believe that you know this is exactly like how he should be, if not already who he is ( ... )

Oops! I've friended you, and sorry if I missed an earlier request; I must have been lazy and didn't check my comment replies ^^' Very nice to have you here!

I think there have been quite a few superior Mikoto characterizations in fandom. tsubaki-hana's and ninjacat's are my favorites so far, but they prefered to focus on the relationship between Mikoto and Itachi, and I just wanted to try at a more conventionally well-rounded Lady Uchiha, branching out to her husband and Sasuke.

I'm very pleased with the way Fugaku turned out in this story. I think it's the way he interracts with his wife that carries him through. Yes, yes, it is possible to like a sympathetic Fugaku, yes it is, and now I have an urge to write a short Fugaku one-shot. Maybe I'll use it as my first contribution to the Mikoto comm...

Thanks for reading and leaving such a great comment. This will go to my head for days XD

*hugs you* Thanks for the friending ( I never know if it's okay to friend first or wait to hear if it's okay to friend - I always wait so no worries on the missed request thing, I'm just thankful you want to be my friend - you might rethink that later... *evil grin* heh, :P)

Ooh, a Mikoto Comm?? I'd love to join! And a Fugaku one-shot by you?? *wants to read!!*

Like I said, totally deserving of much love and praise... ♥ ♥ ♥ *hopes your swelled head doesn't bother you too much* XDD

Thanks again!

Ahh, I am speechless. This is such a wonderful story and you did such a marvelous job with Mikoto and Itachi, and I enjoyed how different you made both Itachi and Sasuke in childhood. I somehow found the Kyuubi attack scenes really wonderful and I can't help to think that for Itachi, the only people that he dared to care for was Sasuke and Mikoto and yet, he gave them such a cruel gift. Psychopathic love is such a scary thing.

Excellent...it made my morning so much better since I am laid off at home. Hmm, I might try to see if I can manage to make Mikoto icons *thinks some more*

Just the fic for you then, dear. Long, slow-moving, and sorta laid-back except for the violence and gory details of birth and... uh... >_>

I love the Kyuubi scenes myself. Without them, I fear my Mikoto would come off as too weak-willed and slef-pitying. Anyway, as a hopeless Naruto fangirl, I found it inconceivable that he shouldn't be mentioned at least once XD And yes, Itachi and his psycho love rules. Rereading it, I'm have a feeling none of his lines evinced any emotion, but then again, that might be more fitting...

You must make Mikoto icons! Right now, I'm trying to find images of her so that I can beg various and sundry lay-out makers in the fandom for a custom lay-out. Wonder if bribes will work...

I love the recent surge in Mikoto fics, and am really glad that you are one of the writers tackling her. (I would totally join a Mikoto community.) I think your characterization of Fugaku is unique and believable. I usually like my Itachi to be more sympathetic, but for what you wanted to accomplish in this story, I think it worked. The first scene was my favorite ... so sweet. And Shisui/Mikoto! Ah, eh, the idea has sort of made me want to write my own version.

Thanks for taking the time to write this whole thing. I enjoyed it a lot.

And someone please make some Mikoto icons. Preferrably ItaMiko, but hey, I'll settle for anything.

I should like to think this is as sympathetic as Itachi can get in my fics :D But of course you're right, I know what you mean. Shisui/Mikoto, that was purely a spur-of-the-moment piece of carck XD I think I want to write another version myself, explaining the true reason Itachi killed Shisui jealousy.

I had this fic on the backburner for about 2 months, if you can believe it. I didn't think I'd ever finish it, but...

And you will join the Miko Comm! When I get excited about something, you will see that I'm difficult to deter >)

explaining the true reason Itachi killed Shisui

You took the idea right out of my head. XD And yesyesyes, I totally expect that story from you now. (You know that would mean you'd have to write teh ItaMiko smex then ;) I'll stick to the horribly-perverted-yet-somehow-endearing Young!ItaSasu.

And yes, I will definitely join a Miko community. Just let me or chuunin know about it when you create it.
