oh my god scary stories to tell in the dark!!! terrified me as a kid. i remember in the third grade i check out one of the books from the library before i bought my own copies and just looking at the cover down from my bed kept me up all night! esp the story about the toe... and someone in the backseat of the car and ;A;

also your feelings about glee are pretty much mine i can't.... i really can't like it no matter how much i tried but lots of my friends like it and i'm not like omg u suck at them cause they do??? but i really don't like it orz

I read library copies first as well and immediately was compelled to buy my own. These made me shit bricks as a kid, actually still freak me out a lot too haha. Yeeessss the backseat story, so scary T____T

I won't judge, everyone can like what they want and I can intellectually see the appeal but on a guts level I'm just not feelin' it. Which is problematic b/c Glee is apparently all about ~*feelings*~

every time i am driving really late at night alone (which is often damn why all my friends have to live deep in the scary ass nobody is here maybe WOODS) i always remember that story and cannot look into my rearview mirror
sometimes i quickly check the backseat before i take off JUST
IN
CASE
(even though i know if someone is there it probably mean a KNIFE STAB INTO MY FACE
ah fuck)

yeah, i always hear the "but it's satire!" defense but the way ppl take it as... not satire idefk and how my feelings during and after watching an ep is usually embarrassment and aggravation = yeah never mind (OR IS THAT THE SATIRE WORKING???) >___>"

Ahahaha. Well I live in the city so my only fear is riding the subway alone late at night and ending up in that one story about the dead woman. I can't find a link for it right now but IT CREEPED ME OUT FOR DAYS. You could check the backseat before getting into the car :D

Um, I think it's a bit too smug and self-aware to count as satire. Poorly done satire, close but no cigars.
