I've been a busy bee!
Things I Managed This Week
- killed two hermit crabs (well, they died of unknown natural causes, but I still feel responsible).
- Finally (with a capital F) finished my entry for the hp_creatures Halloween fest and sent it off to beta. Of course, I can't say anything about it, but I will say that it's not short (that's not giving much away, when are my entries ever short?), and I'm already writing a sequel because it just. won't. stop.
- made 10 banners and 12 icons for the new Ron/Draco fest, which we will being pimping on Monday/Tuesday when wwmrsweasleydo gets back! Sneak preview of one of the banners below. Let me know what you think.
- Got a decent start on The Casual Vacancy, which is off to quite a good start. There's a lot more sex than I was expecting, though. And cursing. Being so used to reading Potter, I sometimes forget that Jo is not the Queen, and yes, she can curse and talk dirty with the best of them.
- read 3 volumes of The Walking Dead. I like the books much better than the tv show, although even they're starting to feel a bit repetitive now.
- Nearly finished the body of the sweater I've been designing and knitting since June, which has a two-inch dip in the back so it will cover the bum when worn with leggings, only to notice that I put the dip in the front instead of the back. I'm am still glaring at it five hours later and have only been able to half-assed start on ripping it back. Sweater torso finished! Left arm in the works! Thank you Sundays and also Hank and Katherine Green for giving me Hank and Katherine Play Lego Harry Potter, so I wouldn't have to knit in silence.
