Richard Stark Night
Castro Theatre honored Donald Westlake by showing 2 movies tonight based on a couple Richard Stark novels. First one was Point Blank, one of my favorite movies and I jumped at the chance to see it at the big screen. The second movie was The Outfit and the movie schedule made it sound like it was going to be an awesome movie, it is there job, but I didn't give enough weight to the fact that Joe Don Baker was in the movie. It's not that I have a hate on for Joe Don Baker but seriously, when was the last time you saw a great Joe Don Baker movie. Totally didn't matter because I loved seeing Point Blank at the Castro Theatre.
And I saw kradical is coming to Wondercon. Star Trek authors mostly seem to be East Coast folks. Looking forward to seeing him again. When he and terri_osborne were signing at the Star Trek Experiance in Las Vegas Claudia and I used that as an excuse to make one of our semi-anual Vegas trips.
