(no subject)
i haven't written in here in almost a week so i thought i'd update u on my life. i had a great weekend. it all started on thursday night. my friend jennifer kremer (a.k.a. "kremer", the queen) had a youth conference for her church. me and my friend lyndsay were invited 2 go. it was a blast, & all kremer's hot guy friends helped out 2. despite the fact that they were all hitting on lyndsay i still had a really great time. see, thursday night was the 1st dance. i saw this guy that used to go 2 my school, devon. he didn't remember me until the last day. lyndsay and i sat on the stage "where all the cool ppl sit." people notice u when u sit on the stage. i saw my friend laura there and 2 guys asked me to dance. that made my day...and they were both cute so that helped (i swear i'm not that shallow, i'm just commenting). the 2nd guy that i danced with, he asked me to dance half way through the song and so we were talking and dancing and the music's going but then it stops. i realized that but he kept dancing. i didn't want to be like "STOP DANCING!!!" so i didn't say anything. about a minute later he goes, "oh, the music stopped. oh well, there'll be another song after this." it was funny b/c everyone was giving us weird looks. there was a pie eating contest that that guy won. after that we went back to kremer's house so lyndsay and i could call our parents. then her friend sarah picked us up and we went to find adam who had sat in front of kremer's house for 1 1/2 and hurt his back but never thought to knock on the door. he said he almost got mugged by some guy who ended up just giving him the knife that he had. isn't the purpose of mugging someone to get them scared so they give u money? i don't think throwing the knife @ them when they say that they don't have any money scares them very much. we finally met up with adam @ whataburger (which i always thought sounded like "waterburger"), where we found out that it's not open "24hrs" like the sign says, only the drive thru is. when we tried to go to taco cabana we found out that they only let mexicans in after 12 (i'm not racist, the doors were locked and there were mexicans sitting on the patio). then we went to braun station and played @ the playground. lyndsay tried to fit herself into the baby swing and despite the fact that she's relatively small it didn't work. i had to pull her foot out and she almost fell on adam which i think he would have enjoyed (but let's keep that on the LD lol, k nevermind). we got home @ around 1:30. can't remember what we did after that but when i was going to sleep, kremer has this turtle and there was a waterfall or something inside his tank and i had to sleep in her room so it kept me up till about 2:30am and i had to be up @ 5:30. i got 3 hours of sleep that night.
the next day, friday, we woke up early (5:30am) and went to kremer's church to meet ppl so that they could drive us to camp C.A.M.P. (for those of u who don't know what that is, it's a camp for kids with mental illnesses). before we got there we decided that we needed to eat breakfast & the lady that was driving us didn't know that she had to pack a lunch so we went 2 HEB and krispy creme. lyndsay & i got starbucks frappacinos @ HEB and kremer was getting on our case b/c mormons aren't allowed 2 drink coffee or something(it was a mormon church. am i even spelling that right???). so we retaliated with the truth that, "we're not mormon." we went to get krispy kreme after that and i only got 1 donut while everyone else got @ least 2, which i ended up regreting laterz. we had nice girl talk about our first dates on our way to the camp. plus, kremer yelled @ this guy sleeping in the back of a truck to "WAKE UP!!!" and talked about keeping everything on the "low down" (not the "down low") while listening to radio disney b/c most things on that station are church appropriate (although they were playing blink 182 @ the dance the night b4).
the first part of the camp was pretty boring. lyndsay and i didn't know anyone really well so we stuck together and the first thing we were going to do was horseback riding. she didn't bring any sneakers so we couldn't do that. we went to the arts and crafts area where the kids were making paper flowers (that's hard! we had no idea what we were doing). then we got paired with one of the counseler ppl that happened to go to lyndsay's old school, and then she found out that a bunch of her friends 4rm her old school were working or volunteering there. as we were walking around i saw some ppl 4rm school that i knew, ani (i met ani's camper, who i had heard her talk about when we took the TAKS test last year), rosemary, and robert. lyndsay's friend from bandera (i don't think they were really friends but they knew eachother 4rm bandera and ithink his name was chris) introduced us to his camper. i forgot his name. when we went to the archery center i saw a friend 4rm orchestra, she graduated 2 yrs ago, i think. we caught up on some things and she asked me 2 work there. (i'm still thinking about it; i think i'll go look online 4 an application b/c i forgot to pick 1 up). after we left the archery center chris's camper told on him and he didn't have a camper 4 the rest of the day. so we wandered around w/him till lunch & then went to a different pavillion to eat. they sang a bunch of songs that we didn't know & i attempted to play along. logan's camper kept poking him in the stomach and giving him hugs. it was cute! after we ate lunch, chris told us to meet him @ the swimming pool. so lyndsay and i got into our swimsuits and ended up not going to the pool until laterz. we went to the playground w/kremer and watched all the guyz attempt 2 make themselves throw up. i don't know what they're called but the playground had those things with the railing in it and u get in it & spin around. they all took turns getting in & tried to stand up. i can't remember if anyone did it but i remember logan & some other guy almost did. then, this little boyd got in. since the little kid could do it all the guys had to try it. 1 girl tried but i didnt' b/c i concluded that i'd puke as soon as it started spinning. me and circles just don't go together. after that a few of us went to the pool with the real little kids. i watched after this little girl who was 5 and she was so cute! she got out a noodle and got bored w/that after 2mins. or so, then she picked up a beach ball & we started playing catch...for the rest of the time we were @ the pool. everytime she wanted me to throw the ball she would say, "GO!!" and she said yes like this, "yesh." it was so cute (i love little kids in case u can't tell)! an older girl joined in our game of catch after a while when her counseler person wasn't playing with her and she was just sitting on the side. we had to get out of the pool a while laterz & i helped the little girl get her shorts and shirt back on over her bathing suit and gave her back the ribbon that she got for reaching her goal 4 the day. when i told her that i had to go she ran up to me and grabbed my hand. i thought i was going to cry and i felt bad for leaving. that's what made me want to come back.
i will b finishing this when i get back 4rm karate b/c i know you're dying 2 hear more (or should i say, "read more").
