(no subject)
so on friday ish & i went to the talent show @ oconnor. it was quite fun & it made me realize how different our schools really are. oconnor's all preppy, for the most part, and i was wearing black pants with converse and a hot pink & black stripped, long sleeved shirt. i was fine with it, it's just that everyone there was all "american eagle" "hollister" and "abercrombie and fitch". i found it funny. also, i saw a bunch of people that i knew from middle and elementary school there. the guy that i had a crush on for like 2 years was the announcer, and his coannouncer person was this chick that talked with this really high pitched, annoying voice. after that i tried to get joseph to buy me dinner by having ish lie to him over the phone that it was my bday. but then she told him it really wasn't and i had to buy my own dinner.
on saturday i flirted with the new, cute guy @ bill miller's. i made an excuse to go to the back to get trays to wash so that i could talk to him. he's not drop dead gorgeous but he has a really pretty smile & he's always smiling so it makes me happy cuz i'm usually in a bad mood when i have to work, or @least i look like i'm in a bad mood. plus, those of you who know me know i can't resist a guy with a great smile:)
saturday night was the sock hop @ school. yes, i know it sounds corny and nathan, at work made fun of me when i told him where i was going saturday nite. it was actually pretty fun. roxann, ish & i got our pix taken on a motorcycle that kelly's date brought. i had planned on going because angelica said she didnt' know anyone that was going but she didnt' even show up. i tried to latin dance & i discovered that i want to learn how to swing dance. so daph & i have made plans to go out one night & take swing dancing lessons @ sam's burger joint...that & go clubbing.
sunday was my bday party. & DAPH'S BDAY!!! for my bday we went to tony roma's & ate dinner. a bunch of my friends went and @ the end of dinner, jay poured a box of shredded up paper on my head. that was actually pretty fun. after that we had a confetti fight and then jay & i sparred on a bridge on the riverwalk. putting a guy who's 6' 2" in a headlock is an extremely difficult task. i can't wait to get the pics back. i had to literally leap off the ground. after dinner everyone but lily and joseph came back to my house and we all sat in my room and played incubus songs on the guitar and played scene-it. alison is very, very protective of that game. jay was the last guy to leave & he thought my mom was mad @ him b/c he stayed after 12am.
alison, roxann, ish, & nicole spent the night. we played catch phrase by candlelight and before we went to sleep we listened to scary stories on a cassette tape. i can't believe i was ever scared of those. the only thing that's creepy is the music & the rest is just ridiculous. his voice sounds hilarious. i found out that roxann is allergic to my catz, so i had to lock them up for the night. roxann left early in the morning & i didnt'get back to sleep so nicole, alison & i (ish went back to sleep) watched peter pan ("i do believe in fairies. i do. i do"). we ate breakfast & they went home.
on monday I TURNED LEGAL (or 18, but saying i'mlegal is so much fun. just have to be careful who u say it to). for my bday i bought a lottery ticket. i dont'think i won but i forgot to watch. i was tempted to buy cigarettes just because i can but i didnt'. i was also afraid that i was going to get pissed one day & just want to do something out of spite and start smoking. i don't wanna smoke. i just wanna buy cigarettes b/c i can. i talked to the guy @ the counter @ the gas station where i got my lottery ticket. i didnt' knwo how to fill out the lottery ticket so i had to ask him & ended up talking to himfor a while.
on tuesday i walked into english saying "I'M LEGAL!" it actually started out "I'M 18" but then berry said i was legal so i changed it.
so today was a total waste of time @ school b/c we didn't have to go to class but we had to be there b/c underclassmen had field testing for taks. it's really stupid. for 3 hours we did nothing & then after that wwe went to lunch & then after that i went to orchestra and after that i went to spanish and we checked a hw assignment & then did nothing. the only good thing i got out of school was talking to the counselor about recommendations and turning in my la communidad for spanish. but kelly did make me 2 balloon penguins.
