TO MY FLIST: This post will not contain ANY spoilers concerning HBP, so you may read. :)
Now that's out...I don't think I'm quite in a position to start reviewing or quoting HBP yet. I'm still recovering, LOL.
Anyway, the 15th was a pretty awesome day. :)
kickasselfgirl & I went to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was HILARIOUS. So many quotable lines...all of which, ironically, fail me at the moment. But I can't remember laughing at something so hard in a long time. :) Of course, I had been amused before we even stepped into the theatre -
kickasselfgirl: Fuck you, dad.
MY MOM: OMGWTFDIDSHEJUSTSAY*SHOCK*
After the movie, my mom took us to go get something to eat. She became extremely irritating, don't really want to go into details.
Then we went to Barnes & Noble and hung out there for awhile. Bored, we headed over to Borders, where it was also boring. However, I did like getting hyper off of caramel & reading all the Anakin/Padme parts in the novelization of Attack of the Clones.
Then Kris and I headed outside to get some fresh air, and saw that my mom was still at Borders. She waved and I just...well, I don't know what I did. But it caused a huge argument. She came outside and was like, "What was that look for?" I said, "What look?" and then she pulled me aside to talk about it. Whatever. We didn't yell at each other, exactly, more like talking loudly in an annoyed manner. :D She pissed me the hell off, asking how she was being a nuisance and I was ready to scream. Then she left.
Forgot all about the about the argument when Kris and I went back inside and found a book called Sexual Healing. Amused, I picked it up and started reading parts of it out loud. Ha ha ha. Then we tried blending in with the environment when Kris' ex showed up. I don't think we did a very good job. ;)
Waited in line for a LONG time to get the book, which I started reading before it was even paid for. I didn't hyperventilate, I am proud to say. :)
Got home, watched Murder By Numbers (whilst reading), ate a popsicle, & called Kris' ex. Who acted like a typical boy and hung up the phone on her. Remind me to never date someone younger than me - or, at least, someone less mature then I am, k? Honestly, I hate guys and everything that goes with them. Relationships, gossip about relationships, etc. Just DIE.
Anyway, Kris went to sleep while I read HBP. Finally, @ around 6 or so in the morning, I felt my mom moving around upstairs. So I turned out the lights and tried to go to sleep. Didn't work. An hour or so later she came downstairs and I gave up on sleep. She apologized for the argument we'd had earlier. Then, seeing as I couldn't sleep & couldn't really concentrate on HBP, I went on the computer for awhile. Came upstairs, read some more of HBP, then went to sleep.
I slept for 3 hours. Yes, 3 hours. *eyeroll*
Then, after Kris was picked up, I finished HBP. :)
Yesterday, Ms. Beth picked me up from my mom's house and I got to drive home. It was the first time I'd driven in the van and it's kind of tricky. Really, I wasn't concerned about the size of the thing - I was concerned about staying in my lane. The steering wheel is EXTREMLY sensitive - you can barely touch it and you'll veer to a certain direction. WoW. The brakes are touchy, too, but it's not like I have a hard foot, so I was able to handle that.
Oh! Note to Flist - I'm going to be away for awhile as of next week. I'm going to Wisconsin with my aunt and uncle and won't be back till sometime mid-August. Don't know how often I'll be able to get on the computer - normally, things are pretty hectic when I get up there. I decided to go because I just can't stand being here at my dad's. Just can't.
kickasselfgirl - comment or something so we can talk about the icon communities. Which ones you want to run while I'm gone, how to do it, blah blah blah.
