Hey, peoples.
ER Series Finale: I thought it was great, a very fitting end to the show. I loved the return of the opening credits (!!) and the ending scene was so touching. It showed that life at County General will go on, the same way that it always has. And when Carter told Rachel, "Coming, Dr. Greene?" I just about lost it. The episode was just full of really touching storylines and moments, and there was nothing I would have changed. Except for one thing. I wanted more closure to the whole Carter/Kem thing, 'cause I feel like my bb should be happy for once. So the fact that he may or may not have Kem back in his life is saddening, but I think it makes sense that, like Mark, Carter's life & happiness is the hospital. There's something so poetic about it.
Answers to the Movie Meme:
1. If you were really clever, you'd wrap us in wet rawhide, and when it dried it would shrink and squeeze organs through our orifices like a tube of toothpaste.
Man of the House
+ Ben talking to the bad guys about how they're going to kill him and Jack
I love this movie so much. I used to watch it over and over when I was kid.
A couple weeks ago, I watched it again and was able to quote the whole darn thing.
LOVE LOVE LOVE.
2. I think we make a real sharp couple of coconuts - I'm dumb, you're shy, whaddaya think, huh?
Rocky
+ Rocky talking to Adrian about how they're both outcasts of a sort
I'm surprised no one got this. I'll always think of these two as one of the great movie couples. They're just perfect.
My other favorite quote is when Rocky tells Paulie that Adrian "fills gaps" for him. She's his missing piece, his heart.
Everything he does, he does for himself, but also for her.
3. Your heart is free. Have the courage to follow it.

I can't think of one scene that I don't absolutely love. This will always be my favorite movie of all time, because everything about it is perfect to me.

This movie is awesome. One of my favorite movies about coming of age,
the beauty of music, and finding yourself. So wonderful.

michelsita+ Timon talking to Simba about his friendship with Nala and her desire to eat Puumba, LOLZ
This movie has everything you could ever want in a movie.
Great music, great animation, great STORY. The loss of a parent, betrayal, growing up, friendship, love.
It's equally hilarious and cute and tragic. Favorite scene is when Simba climbs up the rock in the rain to take his place as King, and then he roars.
Gives me chills every time.
6. I'm now poor. When I say I'm poor, I mean we may have to share a helicopter with another family.

michelsita+ George telling Lucy that he's no longer a part of his company
I love this movie because I never get tired of watching it.
A lot of romantic comedies are cliched, unfunny, and just stupid. I like this one because it's genuinely funny.
Whoever thought of pairing Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock together was a genius.
7. But you must give him some sign, Mr. Trask, some sign that you love him or he'll never be a man. All his life he'll feel guilty and alone unless you release him.
East of Eden
+ Abra telling Cal's father to show him love
This is my favorite James Dean movie, and my third favorite movie of all time.
I think it's such a beautiful story about the love children seek from their parents and siblings, and what happens if they don't get it.
I love everything about this movie, absolutely everything.
8. I'm tired of watching my boys go hungry. I'm tired of the way that they look at me. I'm tired of the way that you don't.
3:10 to Yuma
+ Dan telling his wife about why he has to escort Ben Wade to the train
I'm surprised no one got this! This scene is heartbreaking, and
I think this movie holds one of Christian Bale's best performances.
This is my favorite character he's ever played. I loved how the movie
was character driven even though it was a western/action kind of movie.
Excellent.
9. It's funny how people only say that after they do something bad. I mean, you never hear someone say, "I'm only human" after they rescue a kid from a burning building.
The United States of Leland
+ Leland asks his teacher/shrink why he had an affair and the teacher/shrink says, "I'm only human"
This film is awesome. It's touching and incredibly thought-provoking.
It's the kind of film that doesn't make you cry, just leaves you depressed.
But it's absolutely brilliant. One of Ryan Gosling's best performances.
10. No, I don't think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, badly. That's what's wrong with you. You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how.

I don't think there's really anything I could say about this movie that hasn't already been said.
One of the best movies ever. I've loved it since I was about 8 or 9 years old.
Scarlet is one of the most interesting female characters I've ever seen.
11. You'll go to jail. I'll tell them after a big bee ate my brother, you smacked me around. No jury in the world would fail to convict you.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
+ Ron being a brat towards Amy
I'm surprised no one got this, either. :D
This is a great family movie, but I think adults can appreciate it as well.
It still makes me laugh as much as it did when I was a kid. And the plot is genius, IMO.
12. Person A: I don't like having drug addicts in my house.
Person B: Oh no, Rosalie. Don't think of them as drug addicts. Think of them as killers.
I Love You to Death
+ Rosalie gets a look at the men that have been hired to kill her husband
I'm the only person I know who has actually seen this movie, but I love it.
It's a black comedy of sorts, but it's hilarious.
A wife plots to kill her cheating husband, who just won't die.
Plus, it has River Phoenix and Kevin Kline (and Keanu Reeves)!
Rent it now! Or watch it
