I don't know if this is my type of movie though, and while I don't think I would sit through it for Johnny, I would for Christian ;) (I really tried my best to watch Donnie Brasco, but I was completely uninterested, despite Johnny, so I hope Public Enemies is the type of mob/gangster film that I can enjoy.)

Aww, I just bought and watched Donnie Brasco and really enjoyed it, but I can understand if it's not your cup of tea.

This movie is going to be so interesting to me, not only because it has Johnny Depp and is based on real life events, but because it takes place in the 1930's. And if Bale is in it, it's going to be worth watching just for his performance. :)

Yeah I went and saw the movie I am Legend last night, and saw the preview for "The Dark Knight" and it looks amazing can't wait to see it.

I love Johnny Depp, so I probably will be seeing "Public Enemies" as well.

Yeah, I wanted to see the preview for TDK on the bigscreen, but I didn't want to shell out the money for I Am Legend. Ah, well. At least I have the online trailer. :)

Well luckily my hubby gets these free movie passes every once and a while from his work, and that is the only occasion we go see movies on the big screen unless it's something I'm obsessed with like Harry Hotter, we usually wait till it comes out on dvd. I am legend wasn't that bad. Would have rather seen Sweeny Todd, but it wasn't my turn to choose the flick this time.

This is great! Two great actors, a great story, a Chicago setting...what more can you want? Only thing we need now is patience, until the darn thing gets made. Is it going to be affected by the on-going writers strike?

A far as I can tell, it's not going to be affected by the writer's strike - at least, there haven't been any articles saying so. I know that one of Johnny's projects, The Rum Diary, had to be pushed back because of the strike, which is why he can do this film. And Christian's already finished The Dark Knight and isn't due to start the Terminator movie until after this one. So it seems like a done deal. I'mv ery excited!!
