Finals, Brief Hiatus
Okay, so I know I said I'd probably do a Christian Bale picspam on Saturday, but I think that's going to have to wait until after I'm out of school. 'Cause, srsly, these finals are kicking my ass. I don't think I've ever studied this hard. In the past week, I've helped organize study groups, have met with a different person each day, have gone through my English study guide 92837934752398765 times, and consumed a lot of coffee in the process (and I don't even LIKE coffee).
I have to admit that I like the stress of it, though. I definitely work better under pressure. I can't get my head to wrap around an assignment/project unless it's due in a couple of days. I'm trying to get out of that mentality, tho, because next semester I'm gonna be bogged down with six classes and it's going to be out of work. Plus, last semester I attempted to write a 15 page paper in one night and wound up having a mental breakdown and literally crying to my mommy. Which is why I'm crackin' on this stuff now. [Sidenote: I actually only got 10 pages done and still received a high A in the class, oh yeah.]
Anyway, it's not necessarily the stress of doing the work that gets to me. It's the stress of everything else. I love how all of my insecurities, boy issues, and emo tears feel the need to show up at this time of year. And I get sick, too. My ears are all wacky and my right hand (which, of course, is the one I write with) actually feels like it's going to fall off it hurts so much. So that's what's really getting to me at the moment. I have the work part of this PWNed.
Alright. I actually have a lot more to say that's not finals related, but that'll have to save that for later. For now, I'm taking a hiatus until Monday, December 17. That means no poking through ONTD, no drooling over Bale pictures, no squeeing over new HBP information...nada. I know, it's gonna be hard. Ya'll don't miss me too much, mkay?
