Have you ever had those moments where you really feel like screaming at the top of your lungs for no apparent reason? Yeah, well, I'm having one of those right now at 1:00 in the morning. One of the things that has always pissed me off about ER is that TPTB are always so damn inconsistent with their plots. One moment it's 'OMG! Ray + Neela = sexual tension and emotional turmoil' and the next it's 'Hey! Let's hook Neela up with Uncle Jesse and forget about Ray'. Because they insist on unnecessary plot conflict by creating triangles of any sort.
I personally don't have any thing against John Stamos, because I only remember him from Full House when I was a little kid and I never watched Jake in Progress. But he and his character just scream 'last resort to get a job and let this show reuse a plotline again, while dismissing ones with good potential' to me ( ... )

One thing that I've liked about ER is the fact that the plots are always so inconsistent. It keeps up the spirit of a fast paced drama, and from what I've seen, they do it well. HOWEVER. When it comes to relationships between the actual characters, inconsistency is something I don't like. Right now I'm hopeful that they aren't going to do anything to muck up Ray/Neela.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the inconsistency of the plots themselves, it's just that they often just leave old plots hanging and don't finish them up. Lots of shows do that, and they all annoy me by doing it.
And yeah, keeping my fingers crossed for Ray/Neela.
