Oh, Snap. Where to begin?
Today I woke up around 9:30, after an amazing night out at the Northwood/Cadence/A Loss For Words/Faraway concert with Ms. Elise Largesse, which was, of course, amazing.
Flashback time:
Yesterday I was at lunch eating with Kathleen and others when Elise comes up to me and says "Hey do you want to go to a concert tonight in Natick?" and I said "sure" so then we did. When I first got there Elise pointed out that I would probably be assaulted for wearing a pink shirt, which in hindsight was a probably not the best choice. But anyway then the music starts and elise is fawning over her musician wannabe lover with a really girly voice who accidentally dropped his keyboard during the first song, and I wasn't really into it and I thought I wasn't going to have fun. But then something just clicked and I had an absolute blast, so horray for new experiences.
Ok so anyway I woke up around 9:30 and the day promised to be boring as usual. I went online to see if there was anyone to talk to, and then my mom came up and gave me an IKEA catalog that had just come in the mail that I am absolutely in love with. So Elise was online and she asked me if I wanted to go on a treasure hunt with her and Kathleen, so naturally I accepted and an hour later we were on our way to pick up Kathleen, when all of a sudden I felt the need to take Elise to my stepdad's new office space, where we took fantastic pictures, basked in the glory of new furniture and laser printers, and enjoyed free soda compliments of the breakroom fridge.
Next we picked up Kathleen from her house that was always bright green but we never noticed. So we left and took some backroads that I had never ever seen before and we saw Ally Nigro's quasi-modern uber-Scandanavian looking home. We got on 85 towards town, when all of a sudden the mood hits us: Lets Go to KFC!
So we turn around and go the other way on 85 so we can go to KFC for fantastic chicken, in a bucket no less. Elise was upset because she thought she wouldn't get anything to eat since she's a vegetarian, but then she fell in love and ate her share of potato wedges, biscuits, and Colonel Sanders' Strawberry Shortcake. So we're sitting there, wondering what to do, when all of a sudden: "Let's go to the warehouse that my stepmom's studio is in.
We got there, and we took the freight elevator up to the 4th floor where my stepmom works, where Elise and Kathleen fell in love with the industrial sink-fountains, random bathroom chairs, and neon green paint. Elise was taking pictures the whole time, which may or may not be posted on one of her websites so check it out if you feel so inclined. So we explore the 4th floor, and we go into the studio next to my stepmom's where some really cool lady is making hats out of old sweaters and talking to us about how really old buildings are awesome and semi-old buildings are terrible. We'll get back to her in late April during open studios. So we explore some more and admire the different doors of each space and take random postcards and write notes to random artists about why we love them.
Elise wanted to go to Warehouse Rock, which is a really creepy music store in the warehouse where this strange creepy creepy creeeeepy man spends his time. Luckilly he was outside fighting with someone while we were in the store, so he didn't bother us.
Outside, we admired a giant sign that says "Wednesday is Price Spaghetti Day" and took some more pictures until we went to The Salvation Army! We (a.k.a. Kathleen and Elise) found some really cool stuff, including (but not limited to):
A waffle iron
A pleather dress
A trivet/cartoon about killing stock brokers
A box!
So we loaded up the car and took Kathleen home along more backroads that intrigue me. When we got home, Elise and I admired the IKEA catalog, until she had to go home and I had to go to work, which a completely different story that I won't bother to mention now because Kathleen wants to read about herself now. Night yall. - Ronnie
