Kids don't try this at home - although this exactly where I did it - at home.
I had a network card in a PCI slot that wasn't being recognized. I tried another card - same thing. Hmmm. Yup, bent pin inside the PCI slot. Using a good flashlight and really thin flat-head jeweler's screwdriver I was able to bend the pin back into position. Nervously I reseated the network card and applied power to the PC... Shazzam! The network card was recognized by ESXi and works fine. Saved major duckets on a new MOBO!
