i read that amazon is selling 2 magazines that promote cock-fighting and there have been so many protests, but they have said that would not stop selling them. i HATE that they are doing this ... from offering it in the first place, then refusing to pull it when people complain.
there is absolutely no moral reason for them to promote cruelty to animals in this (or any other) way, especially for monetary gain.
and so i am writing to them after i send you this e-mail and telling them that i no longer wish to have an amazon account. of course this impacts our free family shipping thing, so i wanted to let you know why i'm doing this.
if you are so inclined, please feel free to write to them as well, and/or to let your friends know about this issue. i don't want to be a "kook" about this, but i DETEST cruelty to the powerless and cockfighting is a very brutal, bloody and cruel activity (i won't even dignify it by calling it a "sport".)
